October’s Ambassador Challenges
It’s a new month and that means the announcement of October’s Monthly Challenges! We think this is the biggest and most exciting monthly challenges to date. We are constantly blown away by how passionate and dedicated our team of Ambassadors is and we think they are up for the challenge.
October’s Challenge #1:
Spread the official Food Revolution Day 2013 date with all your community contacts and let everyone know when Food Revolution Day 2013 will be happening.
We have some EXCITING NEWS to announce! The official date of Food Revolution Day 2013 will be released through our amazing and enthusiastic team of Ambassadors. You will be the first to know the official date and we want you to shout it to your group of dedicated volunteers, sponsors, family, friends, local businesses, newspapers, bloggers, restaurants, schools and anyone else you can find.
Sarah, our Community Manager will be emailing all the Ambassadors today with the official date and a Press Release to help you spread the word. The Press Release was written exclusively for you, our Ambassadors, so please spread it through your networks. The Food Revolution team will be updating the Food Revolution Day website with the date next week and not officially announcing the date until Jamie Oliver is in Pittsburgh for the One Young World Summit on October 18th so you have a little over two weeks to get the word out. So get out there, have fun and help us make Food Revolution Day 2013 the biggest yet!
October’s Challenge #2:
Put a spotlight on real food in your workplace and/or a local business by implementing our 30 tips for starting a Food Revolution in the workplace.
When we think of food & changing what we eat & the way we eat, we often tend to think of making changes at home or in schools, but what about at work? Some companies have already started making wellness a priority. Others are still a long way off. If your company is one of the latter then our eBook has some top tips for how you can start to make change. After all, we all work better when we are fuelled up on fresh, wholesome, nutritious foods.
October’s Challenge #3:
Start a Food Revolution at your local school by standing up for real food and implementing the newly updated school food toolkit ‘Get the Facts’.
Our 'Get the Facts' toolkit will aid you in working out the lay of the land in your local schools and help you get answers to some key questions about school food through:
Eating lunch at your local school
Finding out who is in charge of your school food system, and
Doing an audit on the school cafeteria
Download our 'Get the Facts' toolkit, along with its associated support tools (below), and start making a difference today!
Toolkit 1 & associated support tools:
Toolkit 1 - Get the facts
School food basics
School food audit
In case you missed it, we had our 2nd Community Google+ Hangout last week. It focused entirely on our global Ambassadors who told their stories on how they got involved in real food and their tips on how to start a Food Revolution. Make sure to check it out!
What are Monthly Challenges?
Every month, there will be different challenges that will inspire Food Revolutionaries to engage with their communities. They are designed to make deeper connections with the thought leaders in the real food industry and connect with family and friends through fresh food.
At the beginning of every month, the challenges will be announced through a blog post, email, Facebook and Twitter. The idea is to complete as many challenges as you can. As you complete the challenges, let us know how they went. We want to hear your stories, see your pictures and be able to show your successes through our various social media platforms. So get out there, have fun and make sure you share your story with us – we could be highlighting what you’ve been doing to the world!
